Are you nervous that your bedroom is too small to enjoy? Have no fear! There are plenty of simple tricks to make your tiny bedroom appear spacious. When arranging your small bedroom, think about comfort, functionality and organization. Here are some tips for making the most out of your bedroom:

Keep it Light

The wall colors you should choose can vary depending on your natural light situation. Using light, neutral colored wall paint is the standard fr brightening a small space. However, if there happens to be a great deal of natural light shining into the room , some people do opt for deep colors instead to create a chic mood. Either way, you want to avoid using a lighting/color combo that will ultimately make the room appear smaller.

Use Mounted Lamps

Table and floor lamps can be a burden in a small bedroom. By getting lighting fixtures that mount to your walls or ceilings, you will open up the room and create more floor and tabletop space.

Ditch the Clutter

Even the largest bedrooms in the world can seem small if they are filled with unnecessary clutter. When you already have a small room, you really want to keep it clean and simple. Ditch any furniture pieces that add no value to the room, do not overdo the decor and, overall, keep your room clean.

Add Height

You may not be able to make your space appear wider, but you can always give the illusion of height. Some tricks to add height to your bedroom include hanging long drapes close to the ceiling, having a tall narrow dresser, or painting your ceiling a vibrant color to draw the eye upward.

Create Storage

Having storage is one of the most important factors in a tiny room. One of the best ways to create storage is by having multi-purpose furniture. For example, an ottoman at the end of the bed can double as storage and a seating area. Beds with built-in storage underneath are also great for keeping seasonal clothes or other items that tend to crowd your closet. You might have to get creative when thinking about storage, but it will be worth it!
